Bushmaster Rifles
Semi-Auto Sniper System (SASS)
This special model of the Bushmaster .308 Rifle has been specifically
designed to meet the requirements of the Army SASS Program. This
weapon is configured with the following unique features:
- Bushmaster 20” Barrel - .308 Winchester Caliber (7.62 x 51 NATO) - 1 x 10” Rifling Twist - 4 Grooves & Lands - machined
of Chromoly Steel - includes Milled Gas Block for Scope or Optics clearance; Compensator for muzzle flash and recoil reduction,
and Quick Detach Sound Suppressor System.
- A3 Type “Flat-Top” Upper Receiver with integral Picatinny Rail offering unlimited Sight / Scope / Night Vision device
mounting options.
- Lower Receiver is configured for Safe/Semi-Auto Mode of Fire - Includes Ambidextrous Magazine Release, Ambidextrous
Bolt Release and Ambidextrous Safety Lever Controls.
- The Rifle’s Receivers, Barrel and Forend are finished with a durable ceramic coating which can be camouflage painted to
suit the mission. This coating will withstand Acetone solvent cleaning/washes without degradation.
- Lower Receiver accepts FN type Magazines - a 20 Round Magazine is included.
- The Forend is a vented tubular type of Carbon Fiber construction that “free-floats” the barrel from the receiver forward for
enhanced accuracy. Four Picatinny Rail section are fitted for Accessory attachment. A BMAS Bipod Adapter and Harris Folding
Bipod are fitted.
- A Leupold Scope mounted by means of ARMS #22 Quick Detach Throw Lever Rings and an ARMS #5 MultiBase is
included. This mounting system allows removal and reattachment of the scope with no loss of zero.
- All components are housed in a tough, foam lined, rolling Pelican Case which is lockable, and includes an air vent valve for
depressurization after air travel.
