Night vision and thermal imaging technology give its users an overwhelming ability to operate 24 hours a day without interrupting activities. Police and military operations, fire, search and rescue, as well as private corporate and industrial security can literally “see in the dark.” Night vision and thermal imaging devices can be mounted on weapons, cars, boats, aircraft, as well as in any fixed installation or building. Thermal imaging and its ability to detect “heat signatures” has the added benefit of being usable in any daytime environment to detect human presence as well as to identify “hot spots” on cars, machinery, or buildings. Thermal imaging devices can even be installed in normal civilian automobiles so that drivers can more safely drive at night.
