Even though it is not an explosive projectile, it is designed to mimic a military shaped charge round and concentrates all its lethal potential within, or in tight proximity to, the target.
Upon impact the I.R.P. punches into the target and releases a controlled radial energy discharge, creating a highly disruptive focused pressure wave.
